The house artwork
Nothing a site can wear from the house collection is drawn by us, and none of it is generated. The ornaments are cut from engravings and etchings made between the 1650s and the 1820s — pattern sheets, published for exactly this purpose — and the pictures are paintings, prints and plates from the same museums and libraries. Each was released by the institution that holds it, either into the public domain under CC0 or for reuse with credit under a Creative Commons Attribution licence. Where credit is asked for, it is given here and on the site that uses the work.
